About us

Cheam Priory Day Centre was founded in 1972 by local voluntary organisations led by Cheam Rotary Club

 and Cheam Round Table.

We provide a lively Day Care for people over 60 from within our catchment area. Admissions are accepted from  residents within the Borough who have  been referred by Care Managers and Social Workers.

We also cater for 5 private clients a day

for which a daily charge applies

Our aim is to promote the well-being of the elderly

and assist in maintaining their independence

within the community thus preventing or delaying their admission to residential care homes.

An Independent Older People Assessment and Rehabilitation Service is also provided within the Day Centre

We are constantly monitoring our services to meet our member’s on-going requirements.

All members’ views are taken into consideration on a daily basis by the management and staff.

We thankfully utilise a number of volunteers to help cater

for the needs of our members.

Cheam Priory Day Centre was the first day centre in the UK to undertake and be accredited by the

Investors in Volunteers award
